Oracle Corporation and SoftBank have formed a strategic alliance to establish Japan's independent AI-powered cloud ecosystem. The collaboration aims to enhance digital sovereignty while fostering domestic innovation and cybersecurity resilience.
The partnership will deploy Oracle Alloy technology through SoftBank's new Cloud PF Type A platform, delivering localized AI and cloud services to Japanese enterprises and government entities. Over 200 Oracle services will be hosted in-country, addressing growing demands for data governance and low-latency performance in Japan's expanding digital economy.
